Asterisk has been a long established and mature VoIP platform that is embedded in the majority of managed open source PBX systems. Asterisk uses dialplans to control call flow which can require a steep learning curve, and so GUI wrappers were developed to generate the dialplan dynamically from GUI based configuration screens. FreePBX and Elastix are both well known and established GUI configuration tools for Asterisk and we've been supporting both for the last decade. Before FreePBX had its own distribution, it was embedded in other systems such as Fonality Trixbox, which we also support. Asterisk based systems are fully features and offer everything a commerical system does, but being open source has a considerably larger compatability scope.
Managed Support
Probably the better option for those who make few changes to their PBX a year and are happy for us to look after it. We'll manage system maintenance with software upgrades, and secure it with a solid and reliable firewall. We monitor all our managed systems in realtime at our NOC so we can begin working on any failure before you notice. We'll handle backup's and restores as well as disaster recovery and fallback options. If you need moves and changes then just tell us what you need and we'll set it up. If you also want endpoint (handset) maintenance, then we offer next day shipping and setup of failed units.
Technical Backup
If you are happy to self-manage but occasionally need some technical assistance then we've got ad-hoc support services on either per-issue or per-hour basis. Our asterisk experts will work on your system, either remotely or on-site as required to resolve your issue as quickly as possible. If the system hardware is down, we carry a large volume of spares and cards which we can ship same day if required.
Training
If you need manager or agent training on your chosen PBX then we've got a range of services to suit your needs. We can do one-on-one, team, group all either on-site or remotely as required.
