MBORC Statemant & Incident Report
An automated renewal of the primary SSL/TLS Certificates for GENX/GENZone failed causing a fallback to self-signed certificates. The issue is with the issuing authority who returned an invalid certificate in response to the renewal process.
Customers using IMAP/POP3 will work just fine, but customers using activesync will have issues until a valid certificate is installed and those customers will be able to access their email via the web portal at www.genzone.net in the meantime.
Update 08:29: The vendor will issue the correct certificates shortly and we will then have to install it manually which will result in a short period of downtime.
Update 10:15: The replacement certificate is now installed and taking effect for all IMAP4/POP3/HTTP requests.
Update 01/05/2017 12:00: Due to some caching on the load balancers for activesync some customers are having intermittent issues connecting. A cache flush and reload is scheduled.
Update 01/05/2017 14:00: Reload completed and no further issues being experienced.
Any customers who disabled SSL to workaround the issue can now safely re-enable SSL.
